Since the last, and only, time I bought from them (which was also a disaster) I have moved house and changed bank accounts.
Why should I tell them I've moved house? Why should I tell them I've changed bank accounts? Provided my bank agrees that the details provided are correct there shouldn't be a problem
Would I tell the supermarket that I've moved house when I pay by card for my shopping? Would Asda not serve me at the till because my card has changed.
They've sent me three more emails asking me to ring them since I rang them this morning, I'm amazed that they are still in business0 -
They are only making sure that you are who you say you are .
Never heard of fraud ? I'm sure that if you were swindled by someone using your details you'd have something to say about it .
In the supermarket you put your PIN in in person using the card that you were issued with do you not ! With LX you are anonymous on the other end of a phone line .0 -
No not necessarily, you enter all the card details, including the stuff on the back, address, dob, inside leg whatever and if this doesn't match up they refuse the sale.
In this case it all did match up, as it has with every other site that I have bought from, both before and after the move and account changes.
Anyway, how will my writing to them giving my new address be any greater validity than typing it onto an web page?
As I said they are an absolute pile of *****! I had reservations about ordering this time because of the disaster last time I bought from them (wrong goods sent, wrong price, charged twice, 3 months for the refund)
At least they've saved me all that this time0 -
I wouldn't have even bothered after the first experience !0

Wish I hadn't, blood pressure going up again!
At least it cant happen a third time. Thanks LX!0 -

Ordered a pair of white/royal size 8 this morning, £9 after £13.50 discount. Went back this afternoon to buy my brother a pair after telling him about them and they are out of stock again.
I think you need to be really quick in the sales for LX Direct at the moment :rotfl:
Only size 6 available right now.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 126 :j
