Credit card reclaim - problem

I am trying to reclaim from mbna for a mortgage application and for financial advice for an overseas property purchase. I have received nothing from the finance company in return for my subscription/membership fee and feel justified in making a claim from mbna.

However, since the payment was through HiFx to an overseas company, my claim has been rejected. mbna say 'we are unable to progress your claim as the transaction was completed through HiFx. HiFx are a payment processor who has fulfilled their contract by passing payment' to the finance company.

I have no idea whether this is correct or not and am unsure whether to pursue the reclaim.

Has anyone else experienced this obstruction/delay.

How was the payment made?

I don't see how MBNA are the party at fault here.
