Hi All, I am looking for info on MBNA/ Santander. I am looking to shuffle cards at the moment for B/T reasons. As my old Abbey/ Santander card has moved over from MBNA to Santander cards as of the 11/01/2010, does this mean that i can now apply for another MBNA card? Any Help much appreciated!

Yes, provided that you've been issued with a new card with a Santander account number.
Whether this would be your best move depends on which cards (besides Santander/Abbey obviously) you have at the mo or have held recently, also whether you've applied for any unsuccessfullyPeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
P.S. MBNA is a pretty efficient operation, as you know. Santander, OTOH, is anything but. If this is your first brush with the Spanish bank, you may be in for a shock.
When Santander took my Abbey CC account back in-house circa July 2007 from MBNA, customer service deteriorated almost overnight. I've never been so relieved to pay off a CC and close down the account.
From feedback here, not a lot has changed since, unfortunately. We've repeatedly warned of Santander's dire customer service on this board, but it cannot be stressed too often. Unless Santander makes you a BT offer you can't refuse, I'd shift your money to another provider - any provider - ASAP

I've never had a seconds problem with Santander. Card within a week. Had a couple of questions to customer services, all expertly dealt with. I have a different experience to most!0 -

May I ask whether there's an online secure messaging service now? From feedback here, online services in general are fair to middling, telephone services intermittent to nonexistent.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
