Argos - 5 months waiting for sofa!

Please please can someone advise me where I stand?

I ordered two sofas online (one regular and one large) with argos back in August 2009, with delivery "usually" within 28 days.

I was told I would receive in October, then I was told it would be November, then I was told it would be January 2010!.

I was heavily pregnant at the time (and have since had my child), so was not very happy, as a gesture of goodwill argos delivered two regular sofas, and told me to keep one of the boxes the regular sofa was delivered in and then when the large ones are back in stock in January 2010, they would deliver the large one and then collect the regular size one!

What has happened since........... Problems with supplier, sofa no longer made!

So now I have two regular sofas seating 4 when I need one large and one regular sofa, and just keep getting fobbed off every time I ring.

Where do I stand with consumer rights?, what would be my next move?, who would I write to?.

All I want is a large and regular sofa of the same style!:mad:

If I were you, and they can't give you a definite answer on getting you the large sofa: give Argos their sofas back, cancel the whole lot, and go elsewhere.

Thing is I think Argos want me to do this, as I got the sofas at an absolute bargain, and to replace with same/similar, I am looking at about a £1300 increase!

I would rather sit on 2 seperate sofas than fork out £1300, just saying, i think you should keep your bargain.
