Changing Internet Security Software, Help!

I have Kaspersky Internet security which runs out in a few days.

I bought another Kaspersky Internet security cd from Amazon because it was cheaper than renewing directly from Kaspersky.

Acording to Kaspersky CD I have to uninstall the old version before I can RUN & Install the new software.

Does anyone know if I uninstall the old version whilst connected to an internet connection or do I first disconnect from the internet ????????

Also do I install the NEW CD whilst connected to an internet connection or do I first disconnect from the internet ????????

Any advice would be most appreciated.

not an expert on this but would say disconnected for both, the software may ask to go online at the end of installing to get updates etc.

Asking because whilst uninstalling one piece of software and installing another the PC will have NO protection, and I did not want any un-welcome stuff on my PC, so trying to find out if the uninstallation and the new installation can be done whilst NOT CONNECTED TO THE NET

Fair point and understood:cool:. You can uninstall whilst being unconnected; as you have the actual CD, you can run the setup whilst being unconnected; but the updates will require Internet access.
