    after pressing f8 ot comes up
    repair your computer
    safe mode
    safe mode with networking
    safe mode with command prompt

    enable boot logging
    enable low resolution video
    last known good configuration
    directory services restore mode
    debugging mode
    disable automatic restart on system failure
    disable driver signature enforcement
    start windows normally

    Yes, are any of those options usable? Repair your computer? Safe Mode?

    yep but both of them go back to blank black screen :(

  • that is exactly what happened to my daughters...i had to reinstall an old xp pro disc i had laying about. i think if you want to keep vista its worth doing a clean install and losing whats on there.....seems like you will whatever you do.

    that is exactly what happened to my daughters...i had to reinstall an old xp pro disc i had laying about. i think if you want to keep vista its worth doing a clean install and losing whats on there.....seems like you will whatever you do.

    I really dont want to lose everything--all my dd's photos are on it since last year. My own stupid fault for not backing up
