Turning a wardrobe into storage

We are moving into a cottage next week. I have a wardrobe made of reclaimed pine. I would like to use as an amoire in the living room by putting shelves into it to store tableware and glass.

I would like to use a mixture of glass and wooden shelving. Can anyone suggest how I should do this without ruining the wardrobe????? I had thought of using the flat type of shelf supports you see in some high class book shelves, these screw on with smallish screws for the wooden shelves; the glass shelves will be quite heavy and I know will need support on the back as well as the sides.

It has drawers in the bottom and also has a box which fits on the top, the box I am going to make into a window seat for one of the bedrooms

There are so many options you can consider. The little supports that go into 5mm holes in the side of the wardrobe (like kitchen units), the metal strips you screw to the side of the wardrobe and hang of that.

Have a look at Isaac Lord's website for ideas.
