marshmallows that contain collegen

  • It would be my luck for the collagen to have a dramatic effect round my middle and my behind rather than anywhere desirable. Actually I think that will be my response to my husbands comments about my pot belly and big behind now - it's not fat, it's collagen:rotfl:

Hi Amanda here again, just got time to be offended by this last comment Did you know ...
Collagen type I and III are the main types of collagen in our hair, skin, nails, tendons, ligaments, muscles, bones, teeth, eyes and blood vessels and are beneficial in joints. It has been shown that collagen type I and III make up 90% of the body’s collagen and are found naturally together.
Collagen type I provides strength to mechanical structures such as bones, whereas collagen type III plays an important role in the area of healing, moisture and elastic organs such as ligaments, skin and tendons.

Type I and type III can be made from bovine (beef) porcine (pork) or fiscine (fish). Collagen is best hydrolyzed and then broken down into a polypeptide for maximum absorption. This is then added to food such as our tasty marshmallows and can be ingested orally.

nor did I, just look on HNicks site. Hope this enlightens you ..... off now to see Piers.

Is it April 1, or are you lot serious?

Collagen is present in most marshmallows, some deserts, ocasionally sweets (certainly Haribo), and milkshakes from some fast food places. It is more commonly known as 'pork gelatin'. And it is pretty disgusting stuff.

To answer the question raised by one or two above - no, it is not good for you at all.
