I normally allow onions to defrost overnight on the worktop, but when I've done them in the microwave, this has never happened with mine. Could you have a tiny piece of metal somewhere, maybe in the bag-tie of the onions?0 -

Hi, I have noticed that if I put a mug of cold water in the microwave for 2 mins then stir in my spoonful of instant coffee, it always comes out 'frothy' even though I drink it black without sugar.0
