Through windows wireless it says that no wireless networks have been found.
Through the dell wireless it comes up with limited or no connectivity invalid ip address.
Through lan it also comes up with invalid ip address.
Tried renewing the ip through command prompt and it is still saying the same thing!
any suggestions?

reboot router is the first thing if it is not leasing the IPs correctly0

she's done that and it's still the same
thanks for the reply0 -
What make & model of router is it?0

This may seem like a silly question but is it a work laptop that shes trying to connect at home?
If so try...Start/Settings/Control Panel/Internet Options/Connections/LAN Settings/ and check to see if the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" box is ticked. If it is untick it and try again.0 -
try sorting the wired lan connection first - may need to go to networks and make sure that the lan/network is enabled (should be blue - not greyed out)Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0

It's not a work laptop, but i've passed on the suggestion anywayBut it's always been fine connecting at home and everywhere else

I'll get her to check:money: But she's never had a problem connecting it until tonight so I don't think the settings will have changed, still worth a check though:D
thanks everyone0
