SORN Fine
I scrapped an old car back at christmas time, filled in the log book to declare it and sent if off to the DVLA.
Got a letter this morning informing me that I have now been fined £40 because I hadn't declared the car sorn as of 1/5/06.
I will obviously ring them on monday to see if there is anything that can be done as I'm guessing that they never received the log book and thus changed their records.
Just after some advice really on where I stand with this. Is it my responsability to ensure that they had adjusted their records or am I going to have to just take this fine on the chin and pay up?
Thanks.

Did you send the documents by recorded delivery? So you may be able to check whether they were received or not?
If not then I guess it comes down to your word against theirs!Weight Loss - 102lb0
