My mother cannot hear people with the cordless set which was bought for her.
I remember coming across a picture of one in which the earpeice is well defined properly so elderly people would place it correctly, it might be a BT one.
I can't remember where I saw it, perhaps 'this is money'? or the bbc, certainly some article listing disabled gadgets.
It would also be useful if the volume control stayed up high. Obviously easy use, big buttons, highly visible display is a plus, but it would have to be very easy indeed.

The RNID website has an online shop which sells these. I bought one for my mum a while ago. I phoned their customer services for advice on which one to choose first, and they were brilliant - really helpful.

Look for analogue phones made by Doro on Ebay, many have boosted adjustable receiver volumes.
There are a few DORO HEAREASY 313Cs for sale at £14.99 inc post.
Got one for a elderly Aunt who has hearing problems.
....locked the volume control with some Blue Tac
