I need to get a cat flap put into my kitchen door, we have double glazing windows and doors, i dont know who to contact to get it fitted, im not sure if a general handyman is ok?? or does it need to be a carpenter or windows and doors company?? i dont want the door ruined as im with a housing association and sure the door is very expensive to replace..
Thanks for your help in advance

Please describe the door. Does it have two panels. Are they both glass. Is the bottom panel solid. Once we know these things it will be easier to make a useful suggestion.I can afford anything that I want.

Yeah sorry its glass at the top and white panel block at the bottom with black trim, the glass has a silver strip inbetween the panes of glass, not sure whats in between the door at the bottom.Mum of 2 adorable children & 2 cheeky cats who were born on 23.04.2009 :rotfl:0

If it is a solid panel at the bottom then it can easily be replaced by a purpose made panel of wood or,indeed the same material as at present. A cat flap can easily be cut into a new panel by a local handyman and the original panel replaced when you leave the property. Shouldn't cost a lot I would think. Presumably you will need permission from the HA.I can afford anything that I want.
