Cheapish mattress foam

I'm in the process of building a reclining type chair. I have the plans made up for the frame (wood) and am now trying to figure out what to put on top. My first though was a memory foam mattress topper, but they are £50+ for a single, which rather defeats the object
I am planning to cover the foam in leatherette. Anyone know anywhere that does cheap foam (Dosen't need to be memory foam, just something comfy), or alternativley, can suggest an alternative substance to put down. As long as it can be sat on a slatted frame, covered with a material, and will keep peoples bums comfy, it'll work

The local upholsterer near us has a window full of foam. Also, you can buy foam in the local street market. I suggest that you try both these sources.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Dunelm Mill do foam as well. If you buy it there, you'll have to cut it yourself. More specialist suppliers will be able to cut and shape the foam for you - check your local yellow pages for them because these kind of foam shops will be smaller independents rather than national chains. There are some online foam suppliers but obviously you have to pay postage to do it that way.0

If you just used memory foam then you would sink right down and be able to feel the wood under it. So you would need reflex foam under it.
As 27col says, try your local market, as they often have stalls selling reflex foam. Also what may be cheaper than this is to look in your yellow pages for car trimmers and upholsterers. You would probably be able to buy some foam from them cheaper than any market stall or shop.0
