need 115 pounds asap!!

I am currently a student with the Open University and need £115 to pay for a course i want to do. I receive financial support from being on a low income, tax credits etc. but for this course it is only income based benefits, JSA ESA IS etc.

I need to do this course as I am wanting to study Law full time next year at university and need 120 points. Currently have 90 and am doing courses for 20. The thing about this course is i have already put it down on my UCAS application. I have to get the money asap so i can do the course and complete it before august. I have tried to get an OUSBA account for the fees but they wont give me one. As stated i am on a low income and can only really pay day to day expenses.

Im currently selling stuff on ebay and if they all sell i would have enough but if they don't... (ebay not as good as it used to be) Any suggestions for making money quickly apart from becoming a lady of the night.?:rotfl:

If you live in a big city Temp Agency work doing catering etc is pretty good for quick money but where I am now they never offer this and only have long term factory jobs so it depends on your area

Prime Time & Blue Arrow used to be pretty good
  • Take your jewellery to a pawnbroker.
Sell whatever you can on your local gumtree or Friday Ads.
Sign up to your local freecycle and join the cafe where you can chat about how you might money locally (mow lawns, wash cars, wash windows, help someone decorate, pack up to move etc.)

People are usually very supportive of someone who wants to help themselves, so sell your skills, don't make it too much of a sob story and I think you'll get the money.

Otherwise, upload your cv to all the local agencies and accept any extra work that fits in with your other work responsibilites. I've been in a similar situation and the agencies did offer me work - cleaning a gym from 6am to midday at minimum wage on a Sunday.

Be prepared for some hard physical work - and you'll get the cash. How much time to you actually have? If you can give your location maybe someone on here can help too. Good Luck :D

i am in a simialr situation except i need to raise £500 for my course and have no time restrictions other than the sooner i get started the sooner i can start earning .
i have just spent all day listing my no longer needed maternity clothes on ebay and posting some craft stuff on another website to try and raise some of it .

I am thinking of maybe advertising myself as a cleaner locally anything is possible will also be checking out all shop windows to see if anyone is advertising for anything i could do .

I'm going to list some books on amazon tomorrow and see if i can get anything from there.

    good luck with you efforts

Ring all your local pubs, restaurants etc and ask for work, usually places could do with an extra pair of hands but they haven't got around to advertising it yet. Or ring fast food places/24hr supermarkets if you need out of hours work. Then you can do your selling as well and you'll have the cash in no time :)

Me & OH are desperately trying to save up for our wedding next year, and we've recently started using cashback sites (mostly quidco) - can't believe we didn't before! If you buy online anyway, then definately worth doing, you can even get cashback on ebay purchases. We've also switched our electric to a cheaper package, and are getting £30 cashback for doing it through quidco, so a result all round! Bit miffed that we couldn't get the £60 for a duel fuel switch, but we only have electric lol! Could be worth joining if you purchase online, every little helps and all that! :)

  • You might try Betterware? Bit of a slog but no costs to you; all books, stationery, etc. supplied free of cost and you get 20% commission on any sales. They reckon if you put 300 books out (and collect as many as poss back in of course! :D) then 'on average' the orders should result in £60 commission to you. Weekly orders so essentially you could earn your £115 in 2-3 weeks.

That's another good idea too - I think that there's no outlay with Betterware also :)
