I doubt that you need to look further than "I hav 2 friends staying at the moment using i phones on it" Ask them what they are downloading - probably video + a shedload of free and highly useful fart noise apps.

    My thoughts (almost) exactly

If I recall per hour of downloaded/youtube video generally averages 1 GB per hour so if they've been youtubing too over a week or two you could easily get that high... why are you on a capped connection?

unlimited BB from the likes of O2 is only around £13pm these days, or discounted to £7 if you are an O2 mobile customer

Is it easy for someone to "hack in" and find this out? (Please don't luagh, honest my computer knowledge is useless)
With some routers such as the BT Home Hub and other Thomson manufactured devices; it has been possible to use information broadcast by the router to effectively compute the password. There isn't enough info to know the password but you can calculate it to be one of around 60 and try them until one works. It's actually quite a simple process.

Other than that, a neighbour could sniff the encrypted network traffic and computer the key from that. The type of security your router uses would determine how long this attack takes. Could be almost instantaneous in some cases though.
