I am still chasing with Cahoot , why I got a letter with my details in it on a pre prepared loand form , where the email address was ******CAHOOT@*******.co.uk

They have now admitted that they cannot find and recorded evidence of me allowing them to share details.

Oh , and the "Unique customer ID" is the same as my Cahoot Loan Account.

    WOW. What a conincidence.

So not only have they sold my details , they have sold my account details as well. I can see a very serious complaint to the ombudsman unless someting gets sorted now.

    these guys are just unbelievable.

The company that offered me the loan is not even owned by Abbey National who own Cahoot.

Strange really . They said the reference number was a conincidence (10 digit number) and the email address was "Held on record"

Hi... Not sticking up for them... As an ex analyst at a bank.

The marketing literature is sometimes prepared either 3/4 months in advance, r prepared by external agents who work from databases that are over 6/8 months old sometimes. And even if you were in arrears sat 3/4 or 6/8 months ago sometimes the agencies simply recieve info from all various sources and in order to hit postal targets, simply send offers to all.

Sorry to stick up for them on this one.....

Like I said, They can use agencies... who dont really know what your payment history is like with the bank concerned and work of old data really.

Still... it a world where IT is so good, you think they would know this !

When I get loan or credit applications through the post, I reply with this. I've been doing it for a month and have yet to have any adverse reactions. I think it gets the point accross.

I haven't got time to read this crap

    Amos - that's brilliant :)
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.
