in Techie Stuff
im having problems down loading documents and have tried to install an updated version of Adobe without sucess , does anyone have any ideas on how to sort it ?

By documents you mean PDF ones? And by downloading you mean 'viewing' them or they simply wont physically download? And by ADOBE you mean Adobe Reader?:idea:0

Why not dump Adobe altogether and switch to the excellent Foxit Reader

why dont you try uninstalling adobe acrobat reader and try reinstalling the latest version from http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/0
