As it's in a case, you could wrap the case in several sheets of bubble wrap, and then either place it inside a suitably-sized cardboard box or break a larger box and wrap it around and then seal it using a strong parcel tape.
I have received several electric guitars using a similar method and also sent a 20kg keyboard with no problems. Good luckMarching On Together

When I bought my daughter's electric violin it arrived in a cardboard box, no bubble wrap, but it is a padded case. It was perfectly alright by this method. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Hi, my husband sold an electric guitar and asked in a local music shop if they had any used packaging he could buy from them and they brought out a guitar-shaped box and didn't want anything for it. Might be worth a go?Feb GC - £100 / ~£800
