  • Aha just as I thought (and the reason I asked who your cards were through) my old friend GE Money are now called Santander lol
  • Ahh yes that's right. Have you had trouble with them in the past?
  • Yes I had a Topman card and owed £250, I could not pay for a few months so they took out a CCJ (no warning.). I paid for a few months then all of a sudden they stopped accepting my payments. I wrote to them and the court asking why and have never had a reply back. This was before they were sold to Santander, maybe something to do with them selling to Santander (who knows).

Though not what you posted for, I would write to Santander cards asking for a copy of your agreement (bet GE did not hand it over to Santander).
  • If you had the cards before they sold the company to Santander, this paragraph from a story on the sale may be of interest....

Today's sale agreement comes three months after GE Money was hit with a £600,000 fine by the Financial Services Authority, which ruled that the bank had mis-sold payment protection insurance to a number of store card applicants by failing to provide enough information.

If that fits your case then you may have a case for mis-selling of PPI
