Sends Beanie a piece of lemon drizzle cake
Evening folks :hello:Don't Take Life too Seriously - Nobody gets out alive :rotfl:0 -
you don't need to cook it first Suzy - just quarter it and roast. Mix it with oil and fresh herbs if you want - think potato wedges
You don't have to peel it.

Can I roast it without cooking it first? I do everything else, but the recipie said "cooked beetroot".
And do I just peel it like.....well....I don't know really. I remember my mother dunking them in boiling water to get the skins off? Seems like a hundred years ago I watched her do that.

((hugs)) for you my lovely friend. I want to say so much more but don't really know what. I know times helps to lessen the pain, but it never goes away does it?
Ta Bun :kisses3:
Time does help, but people are more understanding about you being upset in the early days/years. 24 and 14 years down the line like I am, it's harder to talk about because you get the feeling people think you should be over it.....the 'not that old chestnut' reaction.
There's also the niggling worry every year, will I lose someone else that day. Irrational I know. I've never told anyone about that before
Thank heavens DS was late, he was due on the same day.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I dunno Spud-I don't think you can ever get over the loss of a loved one. There are so many things you wish they could see and that you could share with them.
I'm sure none of us are thinking 'that old chestnut' at allEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Didn't think of that Bun. It was a spur-of-the-moment thing. That'll teach me!YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
