Just want to say thanks to Roses (have clicked your thanks button!) for a great spot and letting us all know in time to book! Have booked me and my best mate (and respective menfolk) for an early christmas shopping trip to the Big Apple!! Not strictly moneysaving I know
but we're ecstatic!
Thanks again

You will always pay more for going though a large airlines main base.
Personally, i've always viewed the Underground and mainline train services as more of a rip-off rather than airlines, as there is not enough competition to be had on prices. Prices are pretty much fixed and controlled. The airline industry by comparison is not a monopoly.
If you want to avoid the premium price, book a short-haul flight to another airport in europe, and then travel to Orlando from there! There are many people who do that.... some of course, cant be bothered with the inconvenience.... Unless you are booking First class or business class tickets, you probably only stand to save mostly on long-haul UK airport tax (which has nothing to do with the airlines at all!)0 -
Thanks Dolphinl, yes just tried that and the prices are 75!
Woohoo i was in New York in feb but did not get the chance to truly explore it.0 -
