Now I've ironed out my problems with E-on, previous tenant gave dodgy readings, underestimating the bills, I want to switch to British Gas Websaver 5 which will save me around £130 a year. However, I've never switched utilities before so I want to know what I can get.
I see £15 with TCB, but does anyone know of any other higher deals ?
It has to be British Gas as no other supplier comes close (all data input into Excel and running permanent projections based on last 6 months data and 5 season split - extra one for the hard winter). BG wins because of the near best overnight price and way better daytime price and my consumption is biased to daytime, though not enough to remove economy 7 as I've only got storage heaters (moving water heating from overnight to on demand).
Thanks

Check out the comparison sites in the resource bar above - more than one will offer you more than a measly £15 to switch supplier, even a single fuel switch.
Quidco appear to offer £20 (but quidco will keep £5 of that if this is your first cashback deal with them this year)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
I don't know any that offer more. Please enlighten. (Quidco also offer £15.)
(British Gas are one of the companies that vary the cashback with the tariff - a good thing.)0 -
All I see is £18 with Which? and £20 with MSM. However, does introducing another layer into the cashback process Supplier-MSM-TCB-you rather than Supplier-TCB-you just lengthen the process and potentially give them another opportunity to refuse cashback ?
This is electricity only - no gas on the property.0
