    hiya

i undeerstand what your saying but for me i feel secure using a paid version because it prevents any virus getting on the machine - automatic updates but with the free version i have to do it manually which sometimes i forget

no offence to you i know your trying to help

I know where your coming from, but dont go thinking its 100% safe as NO security is

No Anti Spyware Software gives a guarantee that you will not get a virus, paid for or not.

Microsoft Essentials is free and updates automatically.

No AV is foolproof, but there are some good free ones out there. I paid for Norton 360 because it was on promotion, and I regretted it, although it had good reviews.

I prefer Avast, or Microsoft Security Essentials which I'm currently using. It is very light on resources, and seems to work well.

Not a lot is my guess, I have never used KIS so it is difficult to give an absolute answer, I use Microsoft Essentials and have never had a virus.
