Aldi Seeds 39p

Hi
Sorry if this has already been posted, I did do a search first.
Went to Aldi tonight and they had vegetable and flower seeds for 39p a packet.
I bought:
Beetroot - Boltardy (av. 150 seeds)
Carrot - Autumn King 2 (av. 1000 seeds)
Spring Onion - White Lisbon (av. 300 seeds)
From memory there were also parsnips, coriander, tomatoes, leeks, peas, radish, butternut squash, sunflower, and more flower seeds.
Only reason why I didn't buy more is because last year I was very unorganised and bought lots of cheap seeds/sending off for freebies and kept running out of window sill space
I have no doubt this pattern will repeat itself each year

I don't suppose you can recall what variety the tomatoes were can you ?
I only grow Gardeners Delight because they're the only ones that I can taste.
I alternate between Lidl & Aldi on a weekly basis and it was Lidls turn today (theirs is the only meat that the dog will eat), anyway I noticed that they had some seeds in. The F1 variety tomatoes were 49p but when I read the back of the packet I saw that there were only 8 seeds in it. I reckon that this is a bit on the pricey side.
If Aldis are the small ones, I'll go with them, failing that it looks like Wilkos @ 75p or I could lash out and go for 3 packs for £1-50 :rotfl:0 -
I can't remember the variety I'm sorry.
I can pop in on my way home from work Monday evening and look if you can wait until then.
Yes I was impressed at the number of seeds as previous years sometimes the cheaper/free seeds have really low quantity.0 -
Thank you for your offer to pop in and find out for me which I'd like to take you up on if it's not too much trouble.
It's a 10 miles round trip to my nearest Aldi which is why I only go every other week. I'm not being green, just tight

In my local Aldi they also had some "mixed salad leaves", great for cut and come again.
