Tesco Vouchers

Don't try using tesco vouchers for Bridge holidays - we've just paid £92 per person more than the maximum brochure fare. Wrote to Tesco to complain who basically don't want to know.

We need not have gone ahead with the booking of course but as we already had the vouchers, what else could we have done.

More and more of these Tesco deals seem to go pear-shaped.

Don't understand why you paid more, didn't you use some of the vouchers which are worth four times as much?

I know exactly what you mean, I've just tried to book a Eurostar trip with Cresta (which is the same people as Bridge Travel) and the price I was quoted if I paid with Tesco vouchers was much higher than the brochure price and apart from that they wouldn't allow me to have the advertised Free upgrade. Worked out it was costing a lot more for a lesser holiday. Ended up just booking it normally and paying the price.

I will use my tesco vouchers with some other company, probably Cosmos, as all the other holiday companies are part of the same group.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you

If they are charging more than brochure price I think that is unreasonable and Tesco should intervene. If they aren't reasonably good offers then Tesco should really through them out of the Deals scheme.

Is Cosmos the best deal with the vouchers? I've got about £100 in Tesco vouchers.

I've just booked a holiday with Cosmos using vouchers and paid brochure price. The same holiday was £300 cheaper on the internet.....but it would have still cost me £900 instead of £300 in vouchers so I'm happy!

    angie56,
i don't know if i'm catching this right but was this extra £92 including using your vouchers? how much was the holiday all in? and how much would it have cost you using your tesco vouchers?surely you would have saved.i've wrote on other threads about my holidays with tradewinds and premier who used to do deals.yes i could have got them cheaper online by a couple of hundred pounds but when i get a £2400 holiday for £600 i can't complain.
