3rd gen 8Gb iPod Touch has 2nd gen hardware

While looking into whether the iPod Touch is a device that would be useful to be, I found out that the 3rd generation Touch's all have updated hardware (as you'd expect of a later model). Well, all of them except the 8Gb Touch, which still contains 2nd generation internals. The only difference is that they lowered the price!

Naughty Apple. I very nearly bought an 8Gb model, thinking it was as fast as the 32Gb & 64Gb models. :mad:

they never claimed the iPod touch 8GB was a 3rd gen device. They claim it to contain the 3rd OS version which it does. hence the price drop when the 32/64GB came out

The Apple Store does note that the 32 GB and 64 GB versions have "faster performance".
