weekend home insurance

I've searched previous threads on this without any joy: my weekend home buildings & contents insurance has jumped by a third from £400 to £600. No claims (had the property for 10 years), no changes other than in underwriter as brokers changed their panel. Apparently I'm paying a 50% load because it's classed as a holiday home and another 10% on that to extend the definition of "unoccupied" from 15 days to 21 days.

 this is driving me crazy - does anyone have decent second home insurance - or a good broker who will actually look properly for insurance rather than typing a couple of figures into a standard programme & charging me an admin fee for the privilege??
