JSA - No payment headache

Hi, I signed as usual on Monday, expecting to be paid, as usual on Thursday (yesterday) no payment, so thought maybe just a glitch, checked this morning, still nothing so called up the number.

The woman I spoke to was very helpful after making sure I was who I said I was, told me that the job centre had not confirmed I'd signed (or something to that effect) so my payment had not been paid. She asked how I'm usually paid told her by bank. She said she'd credit my payment today and would I prefer to collect it or have it paid into the bank. I said bank as it would be easier, so she asked for a contact number incase of any problems but told me if I don't hear nothing the money will be in my bank by 4pm today.

Just checked the bank and nothing, tried the helpline number again and they are now shut until 9am Monday. Is there a chance my money will go in tomorrow? Or am I on a waiting game until Monday morning to see if its in and if its not then more phonecalls?

Anyone else had this problem? I'm really annoyed, I've not messed the job centre around in anyway, I'm always there when I'm meant to be and I do my job search like I'm supposed to, they have no reason to not pay me

Check Sat morning, could just be a glitch between the DWP and the bank. If not there, check 1st thing Monday and phone the DWP if it's still not in.

If you're struggling over the weekend, the only resort is to contact Social Services or the Police and ask them to contact the DWP Out of Hours Officer for your area. They'll come out to visit you with the possibility of an emergency cash loan to keep you going until Monday.

This is still dragging on, I've been checking the bank, still nothing so rang up this morning 9.30 and explained how I'd rang up and told I'd be paid by 4pm on friday, and the girl I spoke to said its on my record to issue payment and how they tried to ring me but got no answer, now this is a lie because no one has rang the house phone since wednesday according to 1471.

I'm not sure what else I can really do, she took my mobile number to contact me about it today but so far heard nothing and still no money in the bank. I'm not totally destitute without it because I know my parents would help me out if I needed it, its just annoying, I turn up to sign and keep my end of the deal, I don't see why the have such a problem keeping theirs

Or is it a case of now I've been signing for 13 weeks the trouble is going to start?

I rang up on Monday morning (more detail in my previous post) and then checked my bank around lunch time, the money had gone in, at the same sort of time received a phonecall from the Jobseekers allowance people and they said whoever told me my money was going to go in on friday was incorrect as it would have been too late so it was put on hold and when I'd rang again they put it through.

I shall be mentioning it at the job centre on Monday as to why they hadn't put down I'd signed, because if problems like this are going to start I won't be happy
