Just about ANY supplier of PC components will sell you a new hard drive.
Where have you looked so far? What is your budget, and what kind of size of drive (capacity) are you looking to get?0 -

Suggest getting an internal HD then purchase IDE to USB cable about £15 from https://www.ebuyer.com as it will be cheaper. There was a thread a few weeks ago that sold me on the idea and it's great.
Haribol.I have learnt that providing excellence gets you what you deserve and not what you want !!!0 -
Sorry, but I should have mentioned that I will be using it for mass storage.
Size does matter:)0 -
Take your pick from the ebuyer range here.
There is little point in buying a 40Gb if you can have 80Gb for a few pounds more. There are dozens of other places to buy
from. You are going to have to make up your mind whether the hard disk is internal or external. External drives require a case, power supply and additional interface electronics. They a therefore more expensive but easily portable. Internal drives require a free drive bay and a free socket on an IDE cable and a four pin power supply connector (Parallel ATA drives). Serial ATA drives (SATA) are popular but you need a SATA controller to use them and a different power and interface lead.
