Irony or accident?

I had to phone Lloyds in Newport today about several cases of PPI which are now with the Ombudsman. Whilst I was waiting for the call to be answered, the music playing was 'Brass in Pocket'... In their pocket, I assume they meant...

    lol oh dear.......:rotfl::rotfl::o:D

    I have a few ongoing with Lloyds as well, the 8 weeks passed weeks ago but gave them the benefit of the doubt.........:o, was told yesterday we should have a result by 10-14 days, then if not its back to the FOS again with them!!

    These are regarding a few loans PPI, the others both me and hubby were successful in the end through the FOS with the credit card PPI, although my hubby is still waiting for his payout.
    The FOS are chasing this up.

    May I ask if Lloyds came back to you with a final decision?

    Thanks and good luck.;)

  • I have a number of cases with them, all but one involving the same person at Lloyds, who is now on long-term sick leave (maybe gardening?)

    One of the first things I wrote about was to do with a credit card I had with them - this letter was written at the start of September and Lloyds have never referred to this at all - I've had plenty of 'I'm sorry you're unhappy...' letters but none about the credit card, just about loan PPIs etc.

    Lloyds refused two PPIs (even though on one of them I was paying for it for five years after the loan had been paid off (I'd remortgaged) - they insist I wanted it - when I said I didn't even know I had it, but that if I knew, wouldn't I have cancelled it when the loan was paid off? then they muttered something about 'Well, you wanted it, anyway...'

    It's now with the Ombudsman. I've had a letter saying they're sorry I'm unhappy about the credit card PPI and will take 8 weeks to consider it - my point to them on the phone today was that the 8 weeks started at the start of September. Shouldn't they hurry it along now, rather than starting the 8 weeks from here?

    You have some good cases here and I'm sure the FOS will work this in your favour, but yes in regards of the time they have had to deal with the complaints, they should certainly have dealt with them by now.

    Its been the opposite for me and hubby, the Credit Card PPI cases they did get back every time to say "no", these were as stated resolved with the FOS, but now we are dealing with the loan ppi side of things we have like yourself only received the letters like you have, I am sorry and so on.

    Good luck with these.;)
