If I have people ill, then I pack em off straight away, the world wont end!!! I dont want it and like you say you're not doing everything 100%, your body needs the rest and recovery.

I havent had it myself, but even so I cant imagine how awful you must be feeling.

When can I start (or is it stop )

Today, I gave up the fight and came home half an hour early. Wasnt till 5.30 though. All I want to do now is go to bed xx

You are not going to get better this way - get back to your docs, explain and get a note for a cuple of weeks, get over it properly.... Poor old MOOC xx

To be fair the doctor was very good when I went in the week and said that if I started to struggle to come back and see her. I have a blood test booked for Monday so might make an appointment to see her again in a few days.

The trouble is my boss is on holiday this coming week and the the girl i work with is off the following week so going sick is not really an option unless I am carried out in a box

Having said that if I still feel on Monday like I do now things might be different.:)

Aw Mooc sorry you are still feeling so poorly
Does your work not have cover in cases like this or people who could come in? I know its never easy , especially if you are in a small team (which it sounds like you may be? ) but if youre ill youre ill... this is coming from someone who tends to push herself through it too - but it will only make the recovery time longer and more complicated, perhaps if you still feel wiped on monday you could go back to the dr and get them to sign you off for a bit till youre better
I know how horrible it can be when employers arent sympathetic (and on a sidenote Dansmum if you have any other jobs going Id be more than happy to apply! )

Thanks TYO, i have read your thread too.

I have got to go anyway for blood/liver function tests on Monday so it wouldn't be difficult to make an appointment whilst I am there.

If push came to shove, I suppose it would be easier for them to cover next week than the week after, but I'm not the kind of person to give up without a fight.
It has been going on for 4 weeks now. I have been up and down like a yoyo.

Enough is enough now.

I can't carry on like this for much longer.

As I said the world doesnt stop turning, the boss will have to postpone her holiday, failing that the bosses boss will have to... Thats what I do... Wish I could employ you all, but am not that busy...

MOOC did not go to work today and isn't going in tomorrow either. I had my blood test and made a doctors appt. I now have a sinus infection as well and am on more max strength antibiotics xx
