Abbey refused hardship

Had my bank charge claim on hold and then got the letter that the rest of us got, saying they are not refunding charges. I wrote to Abbey again advising that I was claiming hardship and had, amongst other things, a priority debt of council tax. They replied, still refusing, so I`ve downloaded the letter from the Govan Law Centre and sent that off. See what happens.

No Natty, I bank with RBS now. So account been closed for about 2 years.
  • Hardship is not an argument you can really use to be honest since the account is not your main one and is closed.

  • i had the letter from abbey a few weeks ago turning me down for hardship but they credited my acount with about £ 200 in charges with some good advice from netty and others from this site i dicided not to take it any further because i have had my debts sorted out by the CAB and only pay a few £s a month to each one of the companys i owe to so i wouldnt be able to claim hardship P.S natty and others should be knighted .
