Following Martin's advice. rang NTL (0800 052 9403) said I was a pensioner (correct) looking to save money. Monthly payment was £11 line rental and £17.99 for 1meg bb. Without hesitation they offered me an all-in package including line rental, 1meg bb and free weekend calls for £15.49 for next 12 months. Great result. Thank you very much.
