I've found Le Parfait jars in charity shops, also bought something similar in £1 shops- but with coloured ceramic lids same closure, so they do have some decent jars sometimes.
bigmuffins- maybe you do need the rubber bit... to stop the glass chipping..??0 -
I have the rubber seals already and they are fine. I managed to get some recently from freecycle - all were fine but one, which had the broken lid!
Have posted on freecycle in case someone is in similar boat!
Just keeping my fingers crossed....

I have used dry cleaning fluid, lighter refill fuel and white spirit successfully to remove glue from labels. First soak off the label, dishwash it it you have one then whilst warm use one of the above. Usually works.0
