£2 yesterday from OH, who wanted to give chinese delivery man a £4 tip! told him £2.00 was adequate this was why he had no money and I would have it.

I have started reading the book. How I lived a Year on Just a Pound a Day. It is fascinating, but she lives in a great area. We don't have as much free stuff going on where I live, and before I even read her book, I was always looking for free stuff to do where we live, and we just don't have as much, which is a shame.

Some of the other stuff I have been doing for years, which is interesting.

  • Thanks madcatgirl, will make it a target for this month to see if i can get it cheaper elsewhere - am with Tesco at the mo.

Today I have cleaned my carpets ( just two bedrooms) with my aunties carpet cleaner, and my parents had some carpet cleaning liquid left so I have 2 beautifully clean carpets and has cost nowt.. yey.
Have completed 3 months worth of mileage claims which if I hand in at work tomorrow will come through on March wages..so am feeling happy with myself about this!

Have shampooed 2 filthy dogs after taking them on a big hike and run out of dog shampoo.. Anyone know if cheap person shampoo ( i have tesco apply shampoo - it was on offer and got 4 bid bottles for 35P each ages ago.).. would be ok for dogs or should i stop being mean and get them some more medicated proper dog shampoo?

not made any money but am going to spend an hour later planning meals and plan to do lots of overtime this week..

I actually want to sit and cry/scream.

I sold a massive box of Lush items worth £50 for £15 and the buyer moaned that they weren't in perfect condition so I had to give a small refund. Then I listed a phone on eBay and I stupidly put "o2" into the title, as well as T-mobile. All my own fault, I often get O2 and T-mobile stuck together in my head, but now the lady is returning the phone for a refund. THEN someone sent me an email saying the 99p set of envelopes they bought aren't very good. They were 99p, honestly, get over yourself. Then moaning that it took 8 days to arrive. Um...you paid me 4 days after the auction, then I posted, obviously taking 8 days.

So in an attempt to try and make some money I am having to give refunds left right and centre and I sort of can't be bothered! ARGH just want to rant about it all.

Anyway so far my total stands at £55.68 which isn't too bad for day 7. Still a little bit short but I have some auctions ending on Tuesday and I'm hoping to get some gusto to list things for a little while - but I am feeling so angry about it all now.

Also about to parcel my music magpie cds which should net me £17.

  • Emmaglet - You have my sympathies - I've had Ebay experiences like that (we probably all have) - makes you feel like giving up. I often find Ebay quite stressful -its what puts me off doing it - that & the taking photos, working out postage etc... In fact all of it. Funnily enough I just logged onto the forum as a displacement activity before I start Ebay listing (first of the year) - I'm going to persevere though since I've already done all the photos & postage. (I'll probably be ranting myself this time next week.) Hope things go more smoothly for you next time.

Saved £8.80 in fares this week. I've done quite well on not spending - not so good on making money.

  • Well I've still not got round to listing anything on Ebay - I just don't want to!

I have got £3.36 worth of cds on musicmagpie to come instead, and listed a cd on Amazon that is apparently worth £9.50. Even MM wanted to give me £4 for it. Hmmm, we'll see! I really just wanted to get rid of some cds so they all fitted in my cd rack, which they do now!

Okay feeling better now because I've just got £38 from selling more bits, so my total is now at £93.68, whoo! Feeling a bit better that I'm a few days ahead. Also feeling good because a pair of old, worn, holey, smelly shoes are currently at £5.50 on eBay. I'm sure you can guess what they are used for.

Anyway, I listed maybe 10 books on Amazon and Play and listed around 7 more things on eBay. Ready to cook dinner in a few minutes then have a nice relaxing bath and early to bed for a long week ahead.
