Anti topple device ikea wardrobe

The house I bought 5 months ago have wardrobes from Ikea. Yesterday the wardrobe nearly toppled on me, it has got two heavy mirror doors. It seems that the anti topple device has become loose and the screw was just fixed straight to the wall. I am hopeless at DIY, and do not know what to do!! I have removed the two glass doors to be on the safe side. I have got no idea how to secure it, please can somebody advice me, does the screw needs to have raw plug? If I do get somebody to do it for me, who should I get a handy man or a carpenter. I am just concerned in case it topples over. I hate them and will replace them but not now due to tight budget. I would rather not spending money to get somebody to sort it out for me. I do not know how safe it is to leave it like that until I can afford new wardrobes. Thanks

Ok, all I did was make a small hole by the anti topple bolt area through the back into the wall, inserted rawl plug and drilled in. Solid as a rock! If you have a drill, you can do this easily! Good luck

As a temporary you could put a plastic storage box on top of your wardrobe (depending on the ceiling height) such that there isn't room for it to topple.

If the wall is not solid brick, say hollow stud wall, you'll need a plug suited to the wall.

Can you not buy a small L bracket from Wilko or B&Q and fix say 2 (either end of wardrobe) and fix one side to unit and other to wall using correct plugs.
