Hi,
I am so confused, I just don't know where to start!
I have tried looking at other relating threads, but I can't get the link to work ?
I have spent to last 5 months working as a holiday rep in Egypt, however I decided to come back as I wanted to start uni part time and get things sorted for sept.
I applied for numerous jobs online before I left, have continued to apply and signed up to 4 agencies but still nothing. I am very quickly running out of the small saving I had. I have been in the country now for 2 weeks. I am 19, I am temp living with grandparents while I get sorted.
Am I entitled to anything?

Did you work for a UK company, thus paying tax and NI?
Have you applied for JSA? Why are you thinking you won't get it?0 -
I worked for a UK company but was employed by their local agent in Egypt, so technically I was working for an Egyptian company. So no I haven't paid any tax or NI since July when I left the country. I haven't applied for JSA yet, I didn't think I would be entitled to because when I was made redundant in Jan 09 they told me then I hadn't paid enough NI (im only 19) so not sure what to do. I am trying so so hard to find a job, I'm not someone that isn't trying and just taking advantage but I am starting to struggle now.

You could be entitled to income based JSA. Do apply, you have nothing to lose have you?0

Make sure you chase up any online claims. I helped a client make an online claim but when we phoned about it it seemed to have disappeared into cyberspace. Good job we printed off the tracking ref !
Seems daft in this age of technology but I'd give them a call just to make sure they've got itI'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!0
