Useing S/Africa Laptop In UK By Mains 'Lekkie?

Options
Hi,
A friend of mine is sending me a 8month old Acer Aspire Timeline 3810T Laptop which he does'nt need anymore & I need a new one as my E-Systems one has about had it.(memory nearly full,(4gig left)battery wont hold a charge & keyboard needs replacing)
Anyway,he's in South Africa & mentioned I may need to change the mains power adaptor.
Most laptop power adaptor's I've seen have a powercord that plugs into the adaptor so will it be as simple as getting a UK power cord & replacing the S/A one with the UK one or will I have to source a complete new unit?
Thanks in advance,
Spike

Looks like they are the same as us voltage wise, the plugs they use look like the pre 13 Amp, 15/5 amp round 3pin plugs we used to use in the UK, not surprising for one of the colonies.

Changes are it will just be a figure of 8 mains adapter on the power pack like this.

PS Had a look at some Acer mains adapters and it could be a clover leaf one, better 'cos its got an earth.
Anywho you can always cut the plug off and sticka new one on.
