I should have mentioned, sorry we are under 25 and so do not qualify for working tax credits. x£10,000 challenge£175/£10,000:eek:Total Debt - £lots!:TWeightloss Challenge 11lb:T*Just because I rock does not mean that I am made of stone*0

I've just put your details into entitledto.com (sorry, guessed the age and put you both in as 22
) using the details from your SOA and it's coming up as £160 a week made up of £108 working tax credits and the rest child tax credits.
Seriously! Check it out! Obviously you'll get more accurate figures but I'm pretty sure you should get your childcare covered.
The entitlement for working tax credit under 25 applies to single people. Anyone (over 16) who works over 16 hours a week and is responsible for a child has an entitlement to WTC (obviously dependant on income) Whoever told you you couldn't get them needs a serious kick up the @rse!!! I have no idea how long you've been missing out on this money but claim it asap![STRIKE]DFD 22/7/14[/STRIKE]

OD £1200 ~ CC1 £1875 ~ CC2 £1275 ~ Tesco £4757 ~ Creation £235 ~ FIL £25750
DEBT @ 28/03/2018 = £35092

Ok brilliant! Not far wrong 21 and 23. I will go on there now and see what else we can claim for. Thank you, this is SO helpful! x£10,000 challenge£175/£10,000:eek:Total Debt - £lots!:TWeightloss Challenge 11lb:T*Just because I rock does not mean that I am made of stone*0

that was my point
I dont understand why they are not entitled to it
it does say that "Normally" you have to be over 25 but I know people who are younger and claim it
I would make OH work for an employer and not self employed if thats all he is getting - if he works full time and only earns £450 thats only £5400pa, £103 a week (you get more on JOB SEEKERS for gods sake!) i dont know how many hours he does but he isnt even hitting minimum wage. What trade does he do? can he not try and find an employed job rather than self employed?0 -
I was on the BR board, was advised there to put outgoings up. Benefits are correct, only qualify for Child Tax Credit. The Insurance is a commercial vehicle, we only have a van and the £77 is Liability insurance. Food is more like £200 and Gas and Elec more like £25 each. Mobile phones we are tied in to unfortunately but are reducing tarrifs monthly. We have never been on holiday, I did have £40 in medical as I have lots of perscriptions also £20 in entertainment as we have a 3 year old so need to take her out sometimes but was told I wasn't allowed these.
Thank you for you help any advice is greatly appreciated!

There are different types of SOA;
1. If you go bankrupt, you cannot go overdrawn or get credit, so you are expected to put realistic amounts in for your living costs, with enough slack to enable you to cover any emergency/replacement costs.
2. On a DMP or IVA, you are allowed less money for items because they are trying to release as much money each month as possible. it is easier on the DMP to alter this is you get unexpected expenses.
3. DFW people strip SOAs back until the expenditure is within your income and then some. How hard is a matter of choice.
So you will get different responses on different forumsIf you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

mommyme thats why im finding things hard cos i was working 22 hours a week, and getting both, but now cos im living with my partner we only get TC, until I finish work when my Maternity Pay runs out, and providing my other halfs salary doesnt go up, then we should be entitled to WTC too, and also help with REnt and C/T but until then although not totally brasic, struggling (see my thread)0

I would ask the doctor if you are entitled to the MedEx card - i dont know anyone who is bipolar so can not ask them for you. I know i get mine for free, for life, but i need to get my card renewed after 10 years - im quite ignorant about bipolar symptoms so i dont know if it is something that is with your for life or not - the form you need to fill in is a FP92A application form - you get them from the doctors. http://www.healthybytes.co.uk/nhs_exemptions.htm

            PS
You need to take the costs of the van and liability insurance out of your household expenditure and pay them out of your OH's business. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
