I use Windows Mail and I have tried by several of the usual ways to delet individual entries but every time an error message comes up with "Windows Exploer has stopped working" and not possible.
Last time the only way I could do it was to delete the address book and so when I started Windows mail it started a new one. I had to re-input the data which was a ruddy nuisence.
Any ideas of what I could try next?

Does this help?
Start typing the address in a new email's To: field.
Use the Down and Up arrow keys to highlight the address in the auto-complete list.
Press Del.
Address the email to yourself and click Send0 -

hmmm .. just found this somewhat unhelpful answer via google -
"You will just have to wait it out.
Windows Mail remembers the last 29 recipients you sent mail to.
Eventually that bad address will drop off the remembered list".
Can you send lots of individual emails to make the naff one no. 30?0 -
