ppi company gone bust??

Hi tried to claim back ppi .Followed all procedures even to ombudsman but got same reply "company wound up" . Checked with companies house still says active .Could anyone tell me if Guardian Homeloans LTD really has gone bust . Forgot to add ombudsman didnt say company gone bust . I didnt pursue issue as i just thought i had no chance is it still worth pursuing.Very grateful if anyone could shed some light on this .Many thanks

What date did you take the loan out? If it was after 14th January, 2005 then you should be able to make the complaint through the FSCS and FOS really should have let you know this.
