  • Hi all, reporting my spends for the start of the month. Was disappointed on Sunday as I only managed to drag my OH to MrA just as it was closing and therefore my plans of finding whoopsied meat for him were dashed, and a lot of the stuff i needed was missing :( Will do a trail around the town a few nights this week to see what I can pick up. Spent £21.47, the most expensive items being non food. I can't compromise on my fairy liquid and colgate toothpaste but at least there's enough bought for March too! Veg box delievered today which was £14.55 for the next two weeks. Final spend of the day was in Lidl for the things I missed in Asda on Sunday. So a larger than I hoped total of £40.94  Hopefully that should last us 2-3 weeks though, and I'll be using up my freezer hoard.

2 NSDs in a row for me - it'll change tomorrow though as I've realised we need toilet roll, bread rolls, squash and biscuits for visitors on Thursday.

Hopefully I'll keep it to under a tenner (much less I hope) and will stay within my informal £45 a week budget.

On second thoughts I may make some cookies - think I have all of the stuff in - off to check....

    Hi

Went to MrS last night and spent £10.77, got some Pate reduced from £2.02 to 34p and some tongue reduced from £1.87 to 50p, the rest was all basic's range so got quite a lot of bits. Went to MrT this morning to get some more bits and spent £14.45, got some beef reduced from £9.61 to £5.50, some fish reduced from £6 to £3 so quite pleased with my little haul as the fish will do 2 meals and the beef will do 2 meals too. Will update siggy later

    Evening peeps

i`ve updated my sig with the latest spends - another £9.58 has vanished so i desperately need quite a few NDS`s :p

I did manage to get some whoopsied ox heart so i`m making some dogfood in the slowcooker overnight tonight. I forgot to get milk and dog biscuits whilst i was out so i think that i shall make up some of the 300 year old dried milk that i found when i cleared the cupboards out a while ago. I couldn`t bring myself to throw it out and it always comes in handy :D

I need to rearrange my meal planner yet again as we still haven`t eaten anything off it!

I`m loving the tomato soup chat, i`ve not made any for ages, i`ve bookmarked a couple of recipes so thanks guys.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
  • Hi everyone,

Can you put me down for £98.49 for feb.

I am going to need some stock items this week, so as I saved £18.49 from last month, I have put that on to this months £80.
