Payday? No!!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrr

We all look forward sooo much to it being the last working day of the month as it is payday! :D

So went online to check my bank account like I normally do, and whats this NO pay!!!!:mad::mad:

No warning, nothing, so instead of having an okay balance, there is an almost zero balance, and it is the same for the misses as we work at the same place.:eek:

Surely work should give you warnings about these things? Or will their excuse "on or after" the last working day be all they come back with!! just hoping that it is paid in on monday before all my bills come out!!!

Sometimes mine doesn't show up online until later in the day of payday - where others have appeared first thing or even the evening before.

    Try checking again later.

Have you actually spoke to your place of work?

If your contract states you will be paid ont he last day of the month they are in breach of contract (as long as it doesnt show before sunday).

Contract states on or after, if i remember rightly, but we have always been paid on. I wouldnt mind so much if we had some warning.

No but it is the last "WORKING" day of the month which is when we are due to be paid
  • Do you bank with Santandare? (SP?) We're an NHS Trust & all employees who Banked with them had a problem last month and were paid late and I know of one this month who should have been paid on Weds and is sorting it out as payroll say it's been paid and the bank says it's not there! Might be worth checking with your payroll dept?

If it's not paid in today, it should definitely credit on Monday from a banking perspective (unless there's been some screw-up in payroll).

Like SandC said, check later. Even if you can normally see your wages, BACS isn't a flawless system, there may just be some delay.

Depending on who you bank with, if you call your bank's telephone banking line and speak to a human being, they may be able to see the incoming credit. Many banks can tell you what's going in on the next working day (which would be Monday).
