changing phone and internet deals

I rent my line of BT, my calls with talktalk, and my internet with virgin.
I realise I could pay alot less.

I am looking at having calls, rental and internet with virgin. I dont own a TV.

Before I change over, would I need to contact BT and talk talk, or will virgin do that for me.

thank you

Other threads in this forum suggest that Virgin is the country's most expensive voice telephony calls provider.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

If TT are LLU on your exchange, then their 'Essentials' package is almost certain to be your cheapest option for all 3 services @ £6.99 plus £11.49 line rental.
However, the TT CS is considered very poor by many on this board, but if you already take your calls with them you may be aware of that already. However certainly no worse than Virgin.

  • It's come to something when telecomms operators are compared not in terms of how good they are, but that they're no worse than their competitors :)

With VM and TT in the mix, I think that's the only way to approach it...

I think that macman was saying that TT and Virgin are equally as bad as each other.:)

    Spot on Inactive.
I would therefore favour TT, as you pay less for the same level of incompetence.:p
