No sound on dvd player.

Options
Hello, I have a GVG DV-995 DVD Player, i got this 4 years ago, free with a TV. I've only just needed it & connected it up. using the scart lead, i checked to see if it was multiregion & it is, the only trouble is, that i do not have any sound. There isn't a manufacturer's name, address or anything, anywhere. Can anyone offer any self help, apart from get rid of it. Thanks!

  • Hi,

maybe a dodgy pin on scart lead, give it a shoogle, or try another one, you could try adjusting volume with tv remote rather than dvd remote.

Could try factory reset on the dvd player. Or make sure the scart cable is in correct. ( i am assuming as its 4 year old)

As above - some scart leads (don't know why) haven't got teh pins for transmitting the sound.
Also, could be that there is a volume control on the DVD player itself which is turned down to zero
