PPI Help

Hi All,

Hoping someone might be able to help me.

To start off. I took out an unsecured loan from safestyle for doors and windows just over 4 years ago. Thing is it's in me name and my dads as well (As was only 18 at the time and they said that they need the mortgage payer to be on it as well even tho all the payments have always come out of my bank account and a letters get address to me only)

Thing is have lost my job last week and now i can't make the payment and my dad can't make the payments either as he dosen't get enough money to pay this.

I took PPI out with them and i was wondering if i can make a claim on it till i can sort something out. I have never missed a payment in all these years.

Heres the trickey part. I have changed jobs from when i took this out and i was wondering if this made any differnce?

    Hi there

Yes you can for whatever reason(s) you have for being mis sold.

    Go for it.

You write to the ones who arranged and sold you the finance, they have 8 weeks in full to respond.

It makes no difference if you changed jobs, settled the loans of if still running, if you have any reasons to reclaim and have never made a successful claims for example, sickness/unemployment then I would give it a go.

More info on the link below with template letters, a checklist of mis selling reasons and so on, I would post by recorded delivery as well, for your proof of posting, keep at them, if they do not resolve by the final decision then move on to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS).

Good luck and ask for help anytime, please keep us posted.;)

  • If the PPI is in your name then yes - make a claim.
