Could I claim contributions based JSA if I get made redundant?

    I was in the same position once, I said I was available, but had to fit in to school drop off and pick up. Didn't really matter tbh as the job centre never found anything, and I went self employed later anyway.
    I kept a file of agencies, and jobs I had applied for from the paper, and even the odd couple of interviews. That satisfied all their requirements for the contribution JSA for the six months. Don't forget to sort out the tax credits as well.
