Going to Paris for 4 days at the end of July and would like to go for dinner and a show at the Moulin Rouge

I would be really gratefuly if anyone knows where to get tickets for less than £100ish

Not sure about Moulin Rouge but Lido on Champs eleyse does matinee Show only ,seat bar area for around €75.
We did the meal, good seats ,1/2 bottle champagne each for €135. Show was amazing. Extra drinks beer €8 a go ,Wine €70 a bottle
Book at door. This menu isnt avail prebooked in UK. They do try to talk you into upgrading menu.
We wacked around €400 that night (for 2) but the show was something else.

As I said in my previous post when you asked this question :

I've not heard of any cheaper deals if you do a standalone booking i.e. outside of a package deal. They usually fill the place up every night so there is little incentive for them to offer discounted places.

Do you want dinner at the Moulin Rouge? If not, just buy a show ticket and dine at one of the many quality restaurants in Paris.

Things are not cheap here and albeit you can search out good value, the word discount does not tend to feature in the everyday French vocabulary hence the madness that occurs at sale times.

I took my oh to Paris last year and I tried for ages to book cheap tickets for moulin rouge before we left. In the end I decided not to bother as I wasn't going to pay top wack. HOWEVER...I had booked a hotel in montmartre so moulin rouge was just round the corner and one afternoon, we walked in to the foyer asked if there were any seats for that night and lo and behold it was no problem, ok, I payed £210 (on bank statment when arrived home) but we got front table seats plus the three course meal - it was fantastic and I'm so glad I did it - my oh was doubley over the moon and got a full eyefull!!!!!

So my advice is if you can't get cheap tickets wait until you're out there and see what they've got on offer.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.

There is also an option to do an illuminated night time tour of Paris plus tickets to the show at the Moulin Rouge but no meal for just under £60 per person.

Am tempted to opt for this but worried in case they sit you right at the back and the view won't be good.

  • must say its not an area id like to venture to at night. It may be famous, but its still situated in one of the less salubrious parts of town. take care...

Thats why we did the Lido. Went up to Moulin Rouge daytime. Sex shops and brothels everywhere.

If your on a guided tour on a bus/coach, I am sure not alots going to happen.
No differant than going down Soho or Amsterdam.
Its full of tourists and tour parties.
Enjoy your trip to Paris, its expensive but worth it.
