Air Con Problemo?

I think it's the air con! :rotfl:
Basically the air con doesn't seem to be as cold as it was when I first got my Focus (2002). Before if it was on full blast then I'd have to turn it down/off coz my hand would go numb. Not now. Although I had an air con service last year with Fords and they said it was fine.
Also yesterday I noticed on the drivers side just infront of the front wheel a leak of some sort! So I stuck my head under and there is like a cyclinder thing that was dripping wet and really cold. Assuming this is something to do with the air con!
Now is this normal? If not any ideas what can be wrong? And most importantly whats the damage gonna be?
Thanks in advance!
Oh and a totally different problem, they also last year charged me £60 to re-fit one of the pipes on one of the air vents! This has now come loose again as it hardly pumps anything through when isolated to that one! I will be complaining!

your problem with your air con might be a number things that go wrong the most common being is that the air con condensor radiator might have a small hole in it and it has lost its gas or a pipe has gone but be aware that the gas in these things is lethal one it can freeze your fingers and hands and it is heaver than air so if breathed in a large quantity it can kill its best to take it to a air con specialist most of the time a independant is cheaper than a main dealer2013 the year to be more organised0

It is normal. It is the condensate from the heat exchanger. Normally the hotter the outside ambient air temperature and the more humid it is, the more dripping you will see. Indeed, if you go to the US where in many States it is hot and humid and look in the car parks you will see water stains all over the surfacing where the cars' were parked. Also, you will often see large pools of water that have dripped from the Aircon unit.
Often you will not get the dripping in this country as generally it does not get hot enough to casue sufficient ciondensate, but the hot weather of the last week or so means many will have now this “problem” and not realise it is normal.
I would suggest you have the pressure checked as you may have lost soem gas or it may not be working effectively.0
